Why Executive English Club?

Why Executive English Club?

Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), especially in Indonesia, clearly depicts the situations where students depend very much on the practices facilitated by the teachers; yet, sadly to say, teaching is still mostly teacher-oriented not student-oriented.  Teacher’s talk time is still more dominant than that of the students.

Students rarely have the chance to continue their English learning outside their study hours and Indonesian language is still used as the medium of instruction. To make things worse, students have nobody to practice within their daily activities. Furthermore, there is this notion of the so called “anti-nationalism” whenever they try to use English in their social encounters. Friends will usually mock at other friends who are using English in everyday contexts. Those using English are considered arrogant, selfish and western-minded. Practicing English is only possible in limited zones named classrooms. All in all, the biggest challenge to make English learning really fruitful is still the same all over Indonesia, i.e. how to provide additional practices outside the students’ regular study hours.
It is inevitable, then, that English learning does need the existence of Executive English Club. So, you’d better make use of this Club in order to make you fluent in English. EEC is also there to increase socialization and boost network.  Every member can get more friends from all walks of life, various backgrounds and different status. Do not hesitate to join us now!
